“We have had our 2-1/2 year old daughter in Susan’s Suzuki ECE Baby Class since she was 3 months old and we could not be more thrilled with the experience. The weekly music class has turned into an event that our entire family looks forward to.
Susan brings a vast array of experience , patience, and knowledge to each class. It truly makes it a welcoming environment for both our daughter and us. Susan explained the Suzuki Method of Education to us well when we first began and continues to to educate us as we progress.
We have seen tremendous growth in our daughter. She now recognizes songs, sings songs, and identifies varying patterns, rhythms, and beats. Our daughter’s development with language, and fine and gross motor skills has been advanced.
We believe that the incorporation of the. Baby Class activities has been one of the main contributors to this. The Suzuki ECE Baby Class has been a strong reason our daughter has demonstrated a love for music at such and early age.”

“My siblings and I grew up taking violin lessons with Susan and we’ve all experienced the enrichment of music education in our adult lives. When I had my daughter, I knew I wanted to give her the same opportunity.
Susan’s Baby Class is a fun time for my daughter and me to bond and play. Even at 5 months, I’m watching her learn patterns and routine by engaging in the class. We then can incorporate the methods into our daily play!
We started the Baby Class when my baby was 3 months old. Susan’s expertise in early childhood music education, patience for the fluctuations of a baby, and the encouragement she provides us in our parenting journeys make this class a uniquely enjoyable and enriching experience to share as parent and child.”

ABOUT ME
Hello! I’m Susan Stephenson and welcome to “Your Musical Baby”. I’m glad you found my little corner of the musical world where your family and I can explore music and life together.
I am the founder of the Suzuki Music School of Greater Toledo where I teach Suzuki violin and Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) Baby Classes.
I am also really excited about our newest program offering: “Twinkler” Wee Violin™ Beginner Program.
I love playing and teaching violin, making music, and especially working with babies and their parents.
I began my musical journey when I was nine years old. I continued to study violin throughout university. Then, the magical day I watched a colleague teach a violin lesson to a five year old, my musical world changed forever.
I learned it was possible to teach fine character, life skills, high ability, and help families develop deeper relationships through learning music together.
Since then, I have spent my career working with children and never tire of watching how they learn and what they are capable of doing. I understand Dr. Suzuki’s “Mother-Tongue Theory” of education and how research has proven it.
But, I am still SO fascinated when I see children learn to do a musical activity that seems far above what we, as adults. expect from them.
My own children began in Baby Class and learned to play violin with me. I loved seeing them learn and grow. I would love to see your child and you learn and grow together as you make music a part of your family’s life.
I don’t promise that your musical journey will always be easy. However, I do promise you it will be an adventure. You will not regret your family’s “Beautiful Heart Musical Journey”!
My passion is to provide parents and their children the opportunity to be a part of Baby Class and have the chance to learn and grow together through musical activities. Get ready to start your “Beautiful Heart Musical Journey” with your child in “Your Musical Baby” Class.
