The Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) Baby Class offers LIVE ONLINE ACTIVITIES.
Help your baby develop:
- emotionally through various kinds of social situations
- intellectually, physically, and neurologically with the body movements, actions to songs, and singing
- literacy at a very early age
You as a parent can also learn:
- different kinds of parenting skills
- how to interact with your baby
- to be a good example and handle different life situations
- learn how to see the world through your child’s eyes
And together you can develop:
- a passion for learning
- fine character and high ability through the Baby Class activities
- a deeper relationship with each other doing the Baby Class activities together
“Your Musical Baby” Online Baby Class Program
- is for babies (0-3 years old) and their parent(s) to help build stronger relationships from birth
- is based on the Mother-Tongue Method of instruction using repetition of the activities just as a child learns a language by listening and repeating words
- uses repetition of each activity to lead to thorough mastery of the skill taught
- adds the next step or “layer” a child can learn to improve and go to the next level of a skill or activity
- uses the same curriculum for all 3 years which especially gives younger siblings a head start with the activities and developing a deeper relationship with parents and family
- is a format that ensures you and your child will never miss class because of inclement weather or minor illness and you are in the comfort of your home

ABOUT ME
Hello! I’m Susan Stephenson and welcome to “Your Musical Baby”. I’m glad you found my little corner of the musical world where your family and I can explore music and life together.
I am the founder of the Suzuki Music School of Greater Toledo where I teach Suzuki violin and Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) Baby Classes. I love playing and teaching violin, making music, and especially working with babies and their parents.
I began my musical journey when I was nine years old. I continued to study violin throughout university. Then, the magical day I watched a colleague teach a violin lesson to a five year old, my musical world changed forever.
I learned it was possible to teach fine character, life skills, high ability, and help families develop deeper relationships through learning music together.
Since then, I have spent my career working with children and never tire of watching how they learn and what they are capable of doing. I understand Dr. Suzuki’s “Mother-Tongue Theory” of education and how research has proven it.
But, I am still SO fascinated when I see children learn to do a musical activity that seems far above what we, as adults. expect from them.
My own children began in Baby Class and learned to play violin with me. I loved seeing them learn and grow. I would love to see your child and you learn and grow together as you make music a part of your family’s life.
I don’t promise that your musical journey will always be easy. However, I do promise you it will be an adventure. You will not regret your family’s “Beautiful Heart Musical Journey”!
