“Your Musical Baby” Class Teacher
I’m Susan Stephenson, the founder of the Suzuki Music School of Greater Toledo (Ohio U.S.A.) It’s a place where you and your child can participate in “Your Musical Baby” Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) Baby Class ONLINE.
I love playing and teaching violin, making music, and especially working with babies and their parents. My passion is to share the skills you and your baby can learn through music.
Those skills include learning about the Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) philosophy. Dr. Shinichi Suzuki developed his philosophy on the idea that parents are the first and most important teachers in their child’s life.

SECE encourages education of your child from the day they are born. Therefore, as your SECE Baby Class teacher, I guide you and your baby how to learn listening, musical, literacy, life, and parenting skills.
Why is This Class ONLINE?
Perhaps you may be thinking, “Why are “Your Musical Baby” Classes offered only online?” That’s a great question! So, here are the main reasons for that decision:
- Firstly, it eliminates the need for busy parents to spend money and time having to pack up baby and get to class.
- Secondly, we want to provide quality Suzuki Education to those families who may not have convenient access to SECE Baby Classes.
- Then, it creates more time in everyone’s schedule: more family time and, of course, more time to do the fun Baby Class activities with your child at home!
- Finally, we are consciously working to reduce our carbon footprint on our planet.
Now, the primary goal is for you and your child to become life-long learners and experience the joy of music. But, more importantly, the ultimate goal is for your child to develop a beautiful heart and grow into a responsible, fine human being.
