How to Nurture Your Baby’s Unlimited Potential to Learn

Nurture Your Baby’s Unlimited Potential To Learn

Dr. Shinichi Suzuki believed that every child can learn. He believed that your baby has unlimited potential. Find out how with “7 Steps to a Deeper Relationship With Your Baby”. Learn how Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) Baby Class program can help you and your baby grow together and be life-long learners.

Your baby began learning the moment they were born. Everything is so new to your baby. They are literally learning moment-by-moment. So, stop and think about what your baby is really learning.

What has your baby been exposed to? How do you think these things are affecting your baby’s development and learning? Have they been exposed to good and beautiful things?

Dr. Suzuki spent his entire adult life teaching parents and their children. He demonstrated with his Mother-Tongue Method of education that EVERY child can learn. EVERY child has unlimited potential.

The Mother-Tongue Method challenges the idea that we are born with a particular talent.

Law of Ability vs. Law of Heredity

Parents often do not think about the learning potential of their child. In fact, we often excuse behavior and lack of skills with “Oh, my child was just born that way”. OR we simply cannot believe that our babies can do THAT!

Your baby has potential to develop high abilities. Most certainly, the Law of Heredity determines many things about each of us as a human being. For example, we have no control over the color of our eyes, our height, the size of our nose or feet!

The Law of Ability

You also can’t control the physical or mental challenges your child may have. But, you can choose to believe that they can develop abilities far beyond what you may think they can do.

Every parent has experienced some degree of anxiety about their child. Some of your fears might be: is my child “slow” or are they meeting the “benchmarks” i.e. rolling over, sitting up, walking, talking?

The SECE Baby Class program gives guidance and encouragement to parents as they raise and teach their child. So, take real joy in the fact that YOU are your baby’s first and best teacher!

You can nurture them and help them learn new things. Work with your baby to repeat new skills and ideas until they become automatic. When you do, you will put the Law of Ability into action.

Also, know this: right now, when your child is a baby, is your window of opportunity to nurture your learning relationship with them. Keep in mind that how much influence you have over your child decreases as they grow.

Plan to Nurture Your Baby’s Unlimited Potential

So, at every stage of growth, they take another step away from you looking for independence. Therefore, now is the time to make a plan. Plan to nurture your baby with love. Then, choose to expose them to good and beautiful things. Teach them the things that will help them learn and grow into their full potential.

What will you do to nurture and raise your child? Will you look carefully for the opportunities to expose your baby to the right experiences. Will you be a part of developing their abilities? OR will you wait for someone else to do it?

Please do not wait for your baby to “get older” before you expose them to fine music, fine art, reading good books, good manners, and being kind.

Think of it this way: would you wait until your child is five or six years old to teach them to talk just because they can’t read and write the words they want to speak? Of course, you would never do that!

Usually, parents get soooo excited when their baby says their first word! Parents, caregivers, and teachers can love children and get that excited about everything a child learns from Day 1.

But, so many things in our educational systems squash that excitement . Children are considered “not old enough” to do certain things. Then, that same system pressures children into learning after it has made them wait.

“Foster all children as human beings with sensitivity and ability for truth, goodness, and beauty.”

Shinichi Suzuki

Make Suzuki ECE Part of Your Nurturing Plan

Your baby doesn’t need to wait until they can play the music, paint the picture, or read the book. Introduce them to those good and beautiful things now rather than later.

Consider the Suzuki Early Childhood Education Baby Class. This program for babies 0-3 years old is based on Dr. Suzuki’s Mother-Tongue Method of Education.

It is an educational idea that believes that children all over the world can learn and have unlimited potential. Best of all, Suzuki ECE allows baby and parents to learn together without pressure. Then, they are free to learn in their own way and time.

Learning this way encourages life-long learning for your baby and for you as a parent.

You can give your baby good and beautiful experiences. So, give them ones that will develop their potential and help them develop high abilities.

Through these experiences, you and your baby will develop a deeper relationship while learning together. Both of you will grow beautiful hearts. You can create this nurturing environment for your baby to develop high abilities.

One View of Unlimited Potential

Pablo Casals, the famous cellist, had this to say on the subject of the unlimited potential of children:

“Each second we live in a new and unique moment of the the universe. We should teach children you are a marvel. Your are unique. In all of the world there is no other child exactly like you… You may become a Shakespeare, a Michaelangelo, a Beethoven. You have the capacity for anything. Yes, you are a marvel. And when you grow up, can you then harm another who is like you, a marvel? You must cherish one another. You must work–we must all work– to make this world worthy of its children.”

That was Dr. Suzuki’s dream, too. He pictured a world where parents and children learn together. Dr. Suzuki also gave 7 Concepts for you to use to know how to nurture your baby’s unlimited potential. He wanted you and your child to have a deep relationship with each other as you nurture beautiful hearts through music.

“As parents and teachers of our succeeding generations, our future rests tenderly in our hands and hearts as we cultivate our children.”

Shinichi Suzuki
